Britney: My second family.
What is your favorite memory so far of working with this team of individuals?
Britney: I have worked with all of them for many, many years so it was fun to see them all together again on the first day of the tour. Everybody was catching up and telling all of their fun stories from the past, laughing and just having a great time. We were all so happy to see each other again and so excited to start working. It really made me smile.
Where is the strangest place you’ve ever performed?
Britney: At a small restaurant many years ago, when I was first starting out. I just got up and sang in front of a room full of strangers. I had never done it before and it felt really weird singing in this small restaurant.
What is the most fun part of touring?
Britney: Meeting different kinds of fans from all over the world. They are so different in every country. I just did a few shows in Russia and all of the fans had big heart signs in the audience and had hearts painted on their hands. It was really cool. Also having the people I am closest to with me all of the time and staying in the same hotels every night. We have been together for many years now so we have become one big happy family.
What is the hardest part of your touring?
Britney: The actual traveling. It’s basically planes, trains and automobiles every single day. I always have fun when I get to a new city but getting from place to place can get old and boring. I read a lot of books.
Is there someone not pictured who is integral to making your show happen?
Britney: Yes a ton of people: my entire crew who builds my show, runs my show and moves my show from city to city. They work SO hard and I am so thankful for them. My band Shock and Awe made up of my longtime musical directors. Simon Ellis and Marc, my wardrobe girls who help me dress every night and keep my costumes together, my dad who keeps me on track, and of course my boyfriend, Jason, and my boys who keep me smiling every single day.
Do you have any lucky charms?
Britney: I believe I make my own luck.
What are your pre-show rituals?
Britney: I always get to the venue early to go over my show notes with my supervising coordinator and my dancers. We rehearse anything that wasn’t perfect or needs rehearsing from the show before. Then I sound check, do hair and makeup, meet and greet, and then pray with my team, my dancers, and my family.
What are some of your essential backstage items? Any special food or beverage?
Britney: Fashion magazines, good music, scented candles, veggie dip, hummus, pita bread, Shabby Chic furniture (which we take with us from city to city), a treadmill, and yoga mats.
If you could play anywhere, where would it be?
Britney: A tropical island so I can go straight on vacation after the show.
What is the biggest misconception about being backstage or on the road?
Britney: That it’s a giant, nonstop, never ending party. I mean, we do have a lot of fun backstage and we are always laughing and telling jokes and stories, but it’s mostly a large group of people working really, really hard to put on a great show every night for my fans.

Lutfi asks for Lynne Spears' Net Worth!

Ex-manager Sam Lutfi, who’s suing Lynne Spears for slander, libel and defamation for passages in her book “Through The Storm” that claimed Lutfi was a strong negative influence on Britney, is “asking a judge to order Lynne to turn over bank records, mortgage statements, property tax bills, credit card statements, loan statements, conservatorship actions which Lynne has been paid, and other financial information which will establish how much Mama Spears’ net worth is,” claims RadarOnline.com.

Says Lutfi’s lawyer in the recently filed court docs:

“Good cause exists to demand such production because Mr. Lutfi has a strong claim of punitive damages based on his cause of action for libel, which is backed by his own deposition testimony and corroborated in substantial part, by documentary evidence, and the corroborating deposition testimony of Lynne Irene Spears, I received a set of blanket objections to produce the records in question.”

Britney’s recent engagement doesn’t mean a wedding is in the near future; she won’t head down the aisle until this case is settled as her team fears she might be deposed in the case.

“Lawyers for Britney’s conservatorship have been successful in keeping her from being deposed in the Lutfi litigation, and the lawsuit involving her Elizabeth Arden fragrance. First of all, everyone involved wants Britney to get married once the conservatorship has been lifted.”

Britney could get married under the conservatorship, but the judge would have to sign off on it.

“If that were to happen, lawyers repping Lutfi would absolutely go into court and argue that if Britney were able to get married, she should be able to be deposed. There is no way Team Spears is going to let that happen.”

“It will likely be a long engagement, which is fine with Britney and Jason. They are 100% solid and very much in love.”

The saga continues January 23 at the next court hearing.

Now that the tour has come to an end, Britney would like to work out and stay in shape this year. She says working out three times a week is her key to keeping in shape.

“I’m very big on being healthy and working out three times a week. I go to bed early and get my beauty sleep. I also drink lots of water to keep my body hydrated. It takes me an hour-and-a-half to get ready for a red carpet event. I usually take a shower, wash my hair, blow my hair out and have a cup of coffee.

“Then I’ll have my make-up artist come in and we’ll decided on what we want to go for – a soft or sinister style! From there we look at the wardrobe and see if it makes sense, And then we through the process of getting ready, which is the funnest part.”

“Jayden is having some hair-raising fun on the trampoline!” the popstar wrote Wednesday, sharing a photo of her boys playing together outside on her Facebook page.

On Tuesday, Spears — who celebrated her 30th birthday last month — also showed off her “little Hercules,” Tweeting a photo of Preston flexing at his gymnastics class.

The boys’ father Kevin Federline recently praised his ex-wife’s new fiancé Jason Trawick, saying, “I think he’s a great guy. The kids speak highly of him. Her family loves him.”

Maybe Britney Spears' lucky number is 30. The singer turned 30 this year, marking the landmark birthday on December 2 with a fan-voted MTV News tournament that crowned the Best Britney Video of All Time. But her 30th year also proved to be an incredibly successful period in her career.

For the first time in a while, she seemed comfortable being the pop megastar that she is. More than a decade into her career, Spears re-emerged as a Femme Fatale, giving fans a fist-pumping album, embarking on a flashy tour and dropping more memorable music videos. Britney Spears fandom was reenergized as the singer came out of her shell, opening up about this phase in her career as well her personal life in several high-profile interviews. So it's probably not surprising that Spears will cap off the year at #4 on MTV News' Top Newsmakers of 2011 list, just behind Lil Wayne.

"When I was younger, I was busy, busy, and I was always singing and dancing all the time. I was just really creative," she recalled in the MTV special "I Am the Femme Fatale." "That's when my mom realized I'm a really creative person."

She let that creativity shine over the past 12 months. From "Hold It Against Me" to "Till the World Ends" to her Chris Marrs Piliero-directed "I Wanna Go" and "Criminal," Britney made headlines every time she dropped a music video. But no vid stirred up as much controversy as her "Criminal" clip, which featured real-life boyfriend (now fiancé) Jason Trawick — and his abs.

"At the end of the day, Jason killed it," Piliero told MTV News of Trawick's cameo. "That was one of those things I was really stoked [about], as much as I went into it like, 'Wow, he's not an actor. This is going to be interesting,' but I really do like a challenge, and I really do like the idea that I'm a director and my job is to direct and get the performance. For me, it was a fun challenge to be like, 'I'm gonna make sure that you are awesome,' and he was."

Between video shoots, Spears hit the road with the likes of Nicki Minaj, Joe Jonas, and DJ Pauly D. Spears fully embraced her sensuality on the Femme Fatale Tour, a spectacular show full of costume changes, elaborate stage setups and stunning mini-films.

"It was really crazy. I had no idea what to expect," Spears told us backstage at the VMAs. "The kids were amazing and so entertaining, and it was a really fun night. It was really cool. I was like, 'Wow, that's really sweet!' "

As 2011 came to a close, Spears wrapped up her tour, and MTV News threw her a birthday bash in the form of the "30 Videos for 30 Years" tournament. The competition was heated but in the end, Spears' iconic "I'm A Slave 4 U" took home the prize. Online reports that Britney Spears's boyfriend and former agent, Jason Trawick, is planning to propose are false, a rep for the singer tells PEOPLE.

Trawick, 39, was spotted meeting with high-end jeweler Pascal Mouaward in Los Angeles Monday afternoon, sparking rumors that they were discussing diamonds for the pop star.

"There is no truth to that report with regards to engagement rings," a rep for Spears said in a statement. "However, Jason was there to discuss other matters with Pascal, but nothing relating to him personally."

Spears, 29, recently wrapped up the North American leg of her Femme Fatale tour. She and Trawick have been dating since 2009.

She’s one of the most enduring pop icons of her generation and in recent years, one of the most publicity shy. To mark the 10th anniversary of her first ever GLAMOUR cover, Britney Spears grants Sylvia Patterson a rare audience to discuss motherhood, her mistakes and living in the moment.

Back in late September 2001, Britney Spears was just a couple of months away from turning 20. She was on tour, on the phone to GLAMOUR from Australia for her very first cover story, and laughing about the 7ft, 15lbs albino python she’d held above her head at that year’s MTV Awards (“I was so scared in rehearsals, I broke out in hives”). She was also coming to terms with the cultural fall-out from the atrocity of 9/11. She was, she told me, both “completely heartbroken” and “in awe” of America’s Response, a nation determined to stride ahead with life, as she was with her own. “You just have to look up and look at the light and pray that everything’s gonna work out,” she says. “Every night.”

Exactly ten years on, it’s a sentiment, no doubt, that has steered Britney well through a decade of dazzling professional highs and painful lows. Now, with her 30th birthday in sight, she’s not only a unique cultural icon, but a mother to her two boys, Sean Preston, six, and Jayden James, five. In 2001, She’d sold 37 million albums, today she’s sold 100 million, and her adventures through fashion, musical experiment and lyrical fun – “it’s Britney, bitch!” – are touchstones of contemporary global pop. You’re bringing your Femme Fatale tour to the UK this October. How do our crowds differ from those in the States?

“I think the crowds overseas are just more excited and more pleased that you’re there. It’s actually really amazing, it’s so much more exciting. I’m not sure why, they just have more energy and they’re very welcoming.”

What are your favourite memories from the times you’ve visited the UK?

“My best memories are probably from the very beginning with my assistant Felicia, when we first went to London. It was my first time to see Big Ben and everything was so new and fresh. We went to all the amazing shops and just had so much fun with everyone – we’d all get together and it was just amazing. This time, we’ll check out the stores and go to dinners and just have fun.”

Will you be hoping to see Prince William and The Duchess of Cambridge at one of your shows?

“That would be amazing! That will be really crazy and cool. I think they’re a beautiful couple and i totally respect and admire them. They have done so well so far. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to watch the wedding but I heard it was beautiful.”

Does it feel strange to think Prince William used to have posters of you on his bedroom wall when he was a teenager?

“That is so funny. I had no idea that he did that! That’s hilarious.”

You’ve performed on another British institution in the past, The X Factor. Are you excited that it’s finally coming to the states this month?

“I’ll definitely watch it and I do think it will work. There are so many shows out like that, but that is one of the best.”

Are you a fan of Simon Cowell?

“I respect Simon Cowell’s honesty. I think it’s refreshing, but I don’t think I’d be able to be that honest! I’d be worried about destroying someone’s dreams.”

You’ve been in the business for a long time now- what’s the key to longevity and surviving such a tough industry?

“I seriously think it’s because I love what I do and I don’t take myself so seriously. I’m on this journey and I’ve had so much fun so far, and i genuinely have a blast. And I really don’t listen to critics or the haters or anything like that. I’m just in a really good place right now and really excited to be where I am.”

Where do you think that strength comes from? To carry on through everything…

“I think it has a lot to do with how you were brought up. I work hard and I’m a very grateful and thankful person.”

You’re turning 30 in December. How do you feel about that milestone?

“I think the older you get, the wiser you get. I can’t wait. I’m really excited and definitely gonna celebrate and do something pretty fun. A carnival of Britney? I don’t think I’ll be doing that! It’ll be something a little more low-key.”

Do you find it easy dealing with the ageing process?

“It’s a part of life. It’s a beautiful part of life and that’s how I accept it.”

You’ve achieved so much. Is there anything you haven’t yet achieved that you hoped you would by the age of 30?

“I would love to do more movies and venture out into those aspects. It’s something I’m still hoping to do.”

You’ve had so many iconic looks over the years – do you keep or archive your costumes? Do you still have the school uniform? or the rubber catsuit?

“Some of them are in the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, some of them I still have. My all-time favourite? Probably the school uniform. I think because it was my first video I ever did and the first experience with everything. That’s in the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.”

Apart from dancing, what else do you do to keep in shape?

“I work out every other day, and sometimes every day. I run a lot (on the treadmill) in hotels when I’m on tour and I do light weights and a little bit of cardio.”

Do you find exercise is something that helps give you peace of mind?

“I do. It’s a spiritual thing, it helps your mind and your body and it’s all connected. So, yes. I think it’s really important to take care of yourself in that way.”

If you are having a day when you’re feeling insecure, what instant tricks do you have that make you feel more fabulous?

“The usual. Make-up. Chocolate. Shopping. For a good pair of jeans and shoes, I love Flying Monkey jeans and Steve Madden shoes. And Prada! And I just found a really cute piece at this store called Crush Boutique here in Boston. Not expensive at all – a dress, it shows my back and it’s really cute and short.”

Performing runs in your family – would you support Sean Preston and Jayden James if they chose to follow in your footsteps? What characteristics of yours do you see in them?

“They’re very artsy and creative kids, they are always entertaining and they’re full of energy, like I was when I was younger. So I’m sure they’ll definitely be attracted to the arts. They love to dance and paint and they’re always putting on shows, re-enacting things.”

Ten years ago you told me this: “I think God has a plan for everyone, and I think this is his plan for me. And you learn life lessons with each plan. I definitely think we have many lives and I think in my other life in the world ‘cos I feel this one is a breeze.”
Do you still stand by those words?

“I think it’s true. I still stand by that and I still believe in that.”

But things haven’t always been breezy for you. You’re now a veteran and a survivor. You really think, for the most part, things have been breezy?

“Yeah. You know, I’ve gone through stuff, but it’s made me a stronger person, definitely. I take one day at a time, and embrace it fully and live in the moment.”

What’s the most valuable lesson you’ve learnt about men over the past ten years?

“You can’t change them.” [Giggles]

Anything else ?

“That’s pretty much it.” [Laughs uproariously]

Is there one piece of advice you’d like to go back and give your 16-year-old, Baby, One More Time self?

“To have fun. I was having fun then but I would say to stay true to that, y’know? I’m still pretty much the same person I was when I started this, but in the beginning I think I was fearful. So I’d say, just try to embrace moments more. To have a good time with life and don’t take it so seriously. and right now I’m really excited about the show – this is the funnest show I’ve done in my career. so right now, I’m just having a lot of fun.”

According to a new poll, Britney Spears is most loved/talked about pop star in this age of social networking. By taking into account comments made on Facebook, Twitter and Amplicate, the online opinion collating resource, 96 percent of people who use social media loves them some Britney.

Both Rihanna and Britney Spears are known for making super sexy videos – but would they ever team up and shoot a video together?

"I hope so," Rihanna said during an interview with New York's Z100 Monday morning. "I want to spank Britney."

The "S&M" singer appeared on Elvis Duran's radio show to talk about the world premiere of a new remix of the song that features Spears.

"It's very strange. Britney never does features. It was really amazing that she really wanted to be part of this song," Rihanna said. "She really liked the song to begin with, but it was a different story when she had to sing it, and she really wanted to be a part of it. It made it really, really special, because you never see two pop female artists doing songs together anymore."

The collaboration, according to Rihanna, was an idea that came from the fans. "In order to do a remix, it had to be major," she said. "I asked my fans last week who they wanted me to collaborate with, and Britney was one of the most popular names."

Though both Spears and Rihanna are likely to remain solo acts, Rihanna has a pretty good name picked out for if they wanted to form a girl group. "Just call us R&B," she said.

LONDON — As Britney Spears prepares to launch her seventh studio album "Femme Fatale" on Tuesday, the pop star faces keen competition from Lady Gaga, Katie Perry and Rihanna, who reign atop Billboard's Hot 100 singles ranking.

Her younger rivals' dominance this week may be coincidental — indeed, Spears also topped the ranking recently with "Hold It Against Me" — but the chart is a reminder of how crowded the pop diva market has become since Spears rose to fame as a teenager.

There is little doubt her fans will ensure brisk sales — Spears has sold nearly 70 million albums, according to label Jive Record — and her music is making headlines again instead of personal meltdowns, a custody battle and rehab stints.

Spears kicked off a string of promotions for the album on Friday with a performance at a Las Vegas nightclub. On Sunday in San Francisco she will record a sold-out mini-concert to be aired on ABC's "Good Morning America" TV show on Tuesday.

Yet after more than 10 years in the music business, Spears, now 29, may have to do more to remain relevant in the era of Gaga, critics say.

"As far as novelty goes, her natural demographic now has an icon as quirky and characterful as Lady Gaga to fascinate and fuss over," said Andy Gill of Britain's Independent newspaper.

"Gaga's music, let's be frank, is not that much better than, or even different to, that on 'Femme Fatale,' but she knows the lingering appeal of playing dress up," he added in a two-out-of-five star review of Spears' record.

Adrian Thrills of the Daily Mail added: "The one-time gymslip diva has had to contend with the emergence of Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Rihanna — a brash new wave of female performers who have made their mark while seemingly exercising far more creative control."

Reviews range widely
Reviews of "Femme Fatale" have been mixed.

Among the most positive was Rolling Stone Magazine, which awarded the album four stars. "Femme Fatale may be Britney's best album," wrote Jody Rosen, describing it as "a party record packed with sex and sadness."

Hitmaking producers Dr. Luke and Max Martin were responsible for seven of the 12 tracks, while the Black Eyed Peas' will.i.am was behind "Big Fat Bass" and Sweden's Bloodshy worked on "How I Roll" and "Trip To Your Heart."

Critics singled out "Hold It Against Me", with its dubstep influence, and "Inside Out," as well as "Till the World Ends," which Spin magazine called Spears' "first truly synapse-sizzling single since (2004's) 'Toxic.'"

While there was broad agreement that the electro-pop, ballad-light record would be a dance floor hit, critics felt Spears was in danger of disappearing as a voice and personality.

Alexis Petridis of Britain's Guardian newspaper awarded the album three stars, giving much credit to the producers for creating music that was "genuinely exciting."

But he reflected negatively on Britney's voice, saying it was "as anonymous as ever, a state of affairs amplified by the lavishing of Auto-Tune."

Spears' has said little about the album that has been two years in the making, although she has called "Femme Fatale," "my best work yet" on a recent radio appearance and stressed its dance roots.

"It's definitely something that you want to work out to," Spears said. "I'm a dancer so it's definitely something I can work with. It's just really fun."

Britney Spears is headed to Las Vegas Friday to perform a mini concert at Palms Casino Resort's Rain Nightclub, which will be filmed for an upcoming MTV special.

Spears, 29, took to Twitter Friday morning to confirm the rumors that she'll indeed be onstage in Sin City.

"Looks like my little secret isn't a secret anymore," Spears Tweeted, before asking who of her more than 7 million Twitter followers will be attending. "You're all invited. Be there or be square bitch!"

Hotel and nightclub executives have been tightlipped about what the show will entail, but PEOPLE has learned that Spears will take to the stage twice Friday – once at 8 p.m. in a ticketed event, then again at midnight for a performance that will be open to the public.

The appearance in Sin City comes just days before the release of Spear's new studio album, Femme Fatale, which will debut Tuesday.

Britney Spears recently gave an interview to Rolling Stone Magazine about her PHENOMONAL new album, Femme Fatale, and discusses not only her influences this time around, the recording process, working again with producers Max Martin and Dr. Luke, but also the artists that she's rawking out to on her own time!

On her influences for Femme Fatale:

When we first sat down to talk about Femme Fatale I knew I wanted to make a dance album that was ahead of everything else out there but unique to me which is why I was so picky with the recording process. I only wanted songs that I immediately connected to. I also wanted to make sure that this album was completely different from Circus or anything else I had ever recorded. I love Circus but I wanted something darker and edgier. I also wanted to make an album and didn't want to just record a bunch of songs and put them together. I think Femme Fatale is really connected from start to finish.

I have always been heavily involved in every album I have ever made. I'm very stubborn when it comes to recording and will only record songs I love, which is why it takes me a long time to make an album. I have to feel connected before I record and the song has to spark something inside me. Very few songs do that. I guess it's a good process because I love all of my music. I know there are a lot of artists that hate songs they recorded. I don’t feel that way.

I wanted to make a fresh-sounding album for the clubs or something that you play in your car when you're going out at night that gets you excited but I wanted it to sound different from everything else out right now. I also wanted to experiment with all the different types of music I love which is why you hear a mixture of pop, hip-hop and dance throughout the album. I also really wanted to play with my voice and change up my sound here and there which was really fun.

I listen to a lot of different music from all over the world and I guess I just gravitate towards what sounds fresh and what makes me want to move. I really didn’t want to record anything on this album that could be mistaken for anyone else out there. I think my first two singles, “Hold It Against Me” and “Till The World Ends,” sound completely different from anything else and I think when my fans hear the rest of Femme Fatale they'll see how fresh every song is.

On Dr. Luke:

We have known each other for a really long time. Most people don't know this but we actually worked together when I was recording “Blackout.” He was incredible back then and he has only gotten better over the years.

On Max Martin:

Max played a huge role on this album and he has been there since the beginning so there is such a huge level of trust. He gets exactly what I am saying when I tell him what I want and don’t want musically. His melodies are incredible and he is always coming up with weird sounds, which I love. The whistle on "I Wanna Go" still gets me every time I hear it. Who would have thought of that? There is nobody I feel more comfortable collaborating with in the studio.

What she's listening to now:

I love the Peas but I also love Deadmau5. I guess I’m all over the place. Lately I have been listening to Robyn and Adele non-stop but I also love to find new artists that very few people know about. It's one of my favorite things to do because it's like being part of a secret. Friends and people around me are always showing me new artists that they love and that's how I learned about Sabi and ended up working with her on “(Drop Dead) Beautiful.” I have always wanted to feature a new artist on one of my albums and she is really cool.

First off is a special performance on ABC's Good Morning America from San Francisco's historic Castro district. This is the first time the show has filmed a concert from the location, and due to the time difference and logistics Britney will pre-tape the performance on Sunday, March 27th and the concert will air on GMA on March 29th. She is scheduled to make several appearances on The Ellen DeGeneres Show week of release and MTV is celebrating Femme Fatale with a Britney take-over day on March 29th. Britney is confirmed to participate on Nickelodeon's Kid's Choice Awards on April 2nd.

In between rehearsals, Britney is shooting the video for her newest song, "Till The World Ends" in Los Angeles. Ray Kay has been tapped to direct the video.

Rolling Stone writer, Will Hermes, has heard the entire Femme Fatale album, and says Britney has 0 writing credits for any track, but features 35 other writers.

I am very disappointed to find out none of the songs Britney wrote made the final cut. I have no doubts this album will be a smash, hit number one, sell millions and be the best album of her career. But, after a certain point, it's time to focus on HER creativity and HER talents as an artist and less on the numbers and accomplishments. In the end she had the final say and she's cool with this, so I guess I have to be too.

Britney Spears' issue of V magazine is set to officially drop on Thursday, but a sneak peek of the issue, which features the singer donning couture in photos shot by Mario Testino, found its way online in advance. In the interview with the magazine, Spears opens up about her new album, her love of dance music and her rise to fame.

"I don't think I thought about 'fame' when I was a child," she told the fashion mag. "I knew I wanted to perform and I knew I wanted to be on stage, but I don't think I ever thought about fame or what comes with being famous." When asked if she was destined to be famous, she jokes, "If not, then God definitely has a strange sense of humor."

The singer admits that she has a certain mantra when it comes to dealing with both the good and the bad that come with being a celebrity. "I have learned to always stay true to myself and never let what other people say about me change who I am," she explained. "It's a really important lesson that took me a long time to learn."

Spears is also staying true to her musical roots on her new album, which drops March 29, which she says embraces who she is in her life now. "I think Femme Fatale speaks for itself," she said. "I worked really hard on it and spent almost two years recording it. I think it's the best album I have ever made. There's nothing to say. I'll let the music speak for itself. ... It's definitely my edgiest and most mature sound yet.

"It's a little bit of both [an evolution and a revolution]," she continued. "There are songs on this album that don't sound like anything else and are completely revolutionary, but I also believe this album expresses where I am today as a woman and is an evolution of who I am."

After her stop at the recording studio Thursday in L.A., Britney dropped by the Basement dance studio to brush up on her new moves.

Brit's choreographer, Brian Friedman, spoke with MTV about the details of the moves Britney's learning for her song Hold It Against Me.

"This is a dance video. Rehearsals can get pretty rough," the choreographer said. "We're playing it safe, we're not trying to kill ourselves yet, but as the video comes closer and closer, we'll definitely be hurting our backs. There was a moment while we were rehearsing where I showed Britney a section and it was something I really wanted her to do, and she freaked out. ... It's crazy when you first see something like that, how overwhelming it can be, especially when you haven't been in the [dance] studio for a year."

Brian and Britney have worked together numerous times over the years, including for her "Overprotected Dark Child Remix" music video and "Toxic."

"From then on, we became friends and she is fun to work with," he gushed. "She's a Southern girl - she's all about having fun and laughing and cracking jokes. I think you can expect the unexpected from Britney. She is taking risks when it comes to fashion, when it comes to choreography, when it comes to this music - she's grown up so much, and she's pushing 30 years old soon, so she's a strong independent woman and I think she wants to show that."

Don't hold it against her – but Britney Spears isn't performing at this year's Grammy Awards, her label tells PEOPLE.

Contrary to reports online Tuesday, the pop star, 29, who just released her new single, "Hold It Against Me," which already rose to No. 1 on iTunes charts, has no plans to sing live on the Feb. 13 telecast.

Adds a source: "I really doubt it."

A full list of Grammy presenters and performers is expected to be announced in the coming weeks. The awards show will air live from L.A.'s Staples Center on CBS.

“Top 40 outlets across the country immediately put 'Hold It Against Me' in rotation and received instant-reaction airplay at America's most-influential stations including Z100 and WXRK in New York and KIIS and KAMP in Los Angeles,” states McCabe.

Sharon Dastur, program director for New York’s Z100, one of the top influential pop radio stations in the country says, "Ever since we played it yesterday, the reaction has been phenomenal. The audience loves it!"

In addition to the overwhelming fan response at radio, the sales story is also impressive; in less than a day of its release, "Hold It Against Me" is the #1 Song on iTunes.

Britney had 619 spins at Mediabase in what was only a partial day of spins for Monday, 1/10/11. At BDS, Britney had 595 first or one-day spins - also on a partial day's worth of airplay. Britney's big one-day powered her onto the BDS one-day building chart at 16* and perhaps even more impressive was her audience debut at 7*.

As expected, Spears is also a trending topic on twitter worldwide.

Britney Spears is declaring she’s queen of the dance floor with her new single “Hold It Against Me” out this week. But we’ve have been tracking the progress of the dance track for months now, since it was first revealed that Spears would be hitting the studio with the song’s producers, Dr. Luke and Max Martin.

Back in November, Spears’ manager, Adam Leber, tweeted that she’d be working on a “BIG new song” with the producers, adding, “It’s a smash!”

“I want to make good music … I’m excited to be co-executive producing with Max Martin, the person who kind of invented Britney, and to make good music,” Luke added in an interview around that time. “And she’s such an amazing vehicle to getting that music out to a lot of people in every country.”

Days later, Britney tweeted about how much she loved the song she worked on with the pair. “Just finished recording a monster with @TheDoctorLuke and #MaxMartin. Get ready….” she wrote.

By December, Spears had announced plans to release her new album in March, sharing very few details, but noting that she was “IN L-O-V-E WITH IT!”

Soon after that album announcement, the rumors began about when the first single would drop; within a week, fans learned that a song titled “Hold It Against Me” was a possible lead single.

Just before the holidays, the pop star began looking for dancers to be in the song’s video. A casting call notice hit the Web for “men and women with fabulous bodies and faces,” adding, “They must be versatile.”

After word spread that the single would drop on January 7, Brit’s manager quickly debunked the rumor. Coincidentally, though, the demo version of “Hold It” leaked that day, along with news that the song would be released officially on January 11.

Ryan Seacrest and Perez Hilton weighed in on the demo, giving the tune their two thumbs up. But Dr. Luke, Spears, even the woman singing on the demo, songwriter Bonnie McKee, all assured fans the final version of the song was even better.

Britney fans got the chance to make that call on Monday morning (January 10) when the final version of “Hold It Against Me” hit the Web. Many quickly declared the track “amazing,” saying it proved Spears was back.

“Hold it Against Me” is prime Britney, packed with aggressive electro jitters, a Euro-cheese riff that’s strangely close to AC/DC’s “Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap,” and a weird breakdown where Brit moans, blows kisses, and snaps her gum. The first single from her upcoming seventh album, the song (co-produced by Max Martin and Dr. Luke) recalls the synth-gloom ambience of Britney’s 2007 gem, Blackout, possibly the most influential pop album of the last five years. The lyrics head toward Austin Powers/Benny Hill territory: “If I said I want your body now/ Would you hold it against me?” It isn’t hard to hear a tinge of desperation in Brit’s digitally processed growl, especially in the line “You feel like paradise and I need a vacation tonight.” But even so, “Hold it Against Me” promises great things for her album, aside from the overall jaw-drop factor that Britney has hung in there to make a seventh album at all.

Although it was scheduled to be released on Tuesday, Britney Spears' new single has been leaked and it sounds awesome!

After an early demo version of the new song, "Hold It Against Me," was leaked last week, Britney, 29, tweeted that the finished song would be released on Tuesday, January 11.

"Heard an early demo of my new single leaked," Britney tweeted, "If u think that's good, wait til you hear the real one Tuesday."

The dancey tune was apparently leaked after ITunes in New Zealand released the song ahead of schedule.

Taking A Break For A Little Bit!

It's Amanda,

I'm writing this to let you all know that I am taking a break for a little bit due to the fact that my house computer broke down. I dont think I have ever taken a break from this Britney Website except when I closed it while she was going through her rough times. So I'm taking a break to let my computer get fixed and to spend time with my new niece.

Los Angeles, CA - The Britney Spears episode of GLEE is the highest-rated episode of GLEE ever among Adults 18 - 49. The Spears themed episode, which featured a cameo from the artist and included five of her hit songs including "Baby One More Time," I'm a Slave 4U," Me Against the Music" and "Stronger" outperformed any episode of the hit Fox show by +6% among adults and posted a 5.8/16 rating. The episode won the night in teens and virtually all male and female demos. It also out-rated its nearest competitor (CBS) by 24% in the adult demo. This is the first time in 17 years that the highest rated entertainment program of premiere week grew in week two among Adults 18 - 49 and total viewers since fall '93 with SEINFELD.

  Not only did the Britney Spears episode dominate the television ratings, it also took over the internet. While the episode was airing on the west coast, the Grammy winning artist tweeted to her 6 million fans which led to "Britney Spears Episode" being the # 1 trending topic worldwide for over 12 hours on Twitter. During the episode, Britney owned seven of the 10 trending topic slots. "Britney Glee Episode" was also the # 1 most searched term on Google. Through her social media and online properties, Spears generated over 200 million impressions which drove ratings and awareness for GLEE. In addition, all five of Spears' songs featured on GLEE are in the top 12 chart of iTunes most downloaded.

 The initial idea for a Spears inspired GLEE episode came about five months ago when Britney's co-manager, Adam Leber, sent a tweet from the artist's account asking fans "Do you guys want to see a Britney Spears episode of GLEE? Thoughts?" Her 6 million fans at the time immediately responded and the idea became the # 1 trending topic in less than 10 minutes. The online chatter caught the eye of GLEE creator, Ryan Murphy, who two days later responded to Entertainment Weekly saying he's "interested in the Britney Spears idea."

 During her career, Britney Spears has had five albums debut at the # 1 spot on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart, as well as 23 Top 40 hits on the Billboard Pop Singles chart. Worldwide, Britney Spears is one of the top-selling artists of the last decade, constantly topping charts with her albums.
