Britney Spears Summer Camp in Trouble

YARMOUTH (MyFoxBoston.com) – A ten-day summer camp program created by Britney Spears in 1999 is in danger of closing it’s doors as it runs out of money.

The camp program for 250 “economically disadvantaged students” is currently seeking a new sponsor to help keep the organization going.

Located in South Yarmouth, Massachusetts, the camp was originally named the “Britney Spears Camp for the Performing Arts” until Britney cut ties with the organization in 2004.

After Britney left, the camp was renamed Summer Stars Camp and received generous donations from other celebrity sponsors like 50 Cent and the Jonas Brothers.

Now, the camp’s executive director tells TMZ, they’ve run out of money and can’t seem to find any more celebrity sponsors.

The camp is facing closure while bosses struggle to find the $250,000 needed to keep it open.

According to TMZ , attempts to reach Britney for comment were unsuccessful.
