Isn't she growing fast! Jamie Lynn Spears tweets she's 'blessed' as she enjoys ice cream with daughter Maddie

It seems like only yesterday she shocked the world by announcing she was pregnant at 16.

 

But proud mother Jamie Lynn Spears posted a picture of her daughter Maddie looking all grown up as she tucked into a frozen yoghurt on Thursday.

 

The five-year-old grinned with glee as she sat next to her mother's fiance Jamie Watson while they enjoyed their tasty treat.

In the Instagram caption she wrote: 'I love these 2 more then words can say! Blessed to have such a good man, puppy, and baby girl!!#havingamoment #countingblessings.'

 

Britney's sister certainly seems proud of her little girl and her strapping fiance and namesake, who she has been dating for the past three years.

 

Her happiness will surely put the furore that erupted when it emerged she was pregnant into context.

 

The former Nickelodeon favourite was just 16 when she announced she had a bun in the oven back in 2007.

 

Because the Zooey 101 star was two years below the California age of consent at the time, it was speculated her boyfriend Casey Aldridge could be charged with statutory rape, though this never transpired.

 

The couple ended up getting engaged, though it was called off in March 2009, with the actress ultimately ending the relationship and moving out from their home in February 2010.
