Britney Spears Calls New Beau Charlie Ebersol 'Special'

Britney Spears has made it official: she's back on the dating scene and loving it. 

On Wednesday, the singer opened up about her budding new romance with producer and writer Charlie Ebersol, 31. 

"Yes, there is a special someone," she told Extra as she received the key to the Las Vegas Strip. 

"It's very new." 

Earlier in the week, a source told PEOPLE the pair "are taking it slow" as Spears continues her "Piece of Me" show at Planet Hollywood. Ebersol, who is the son of Saturday Night Live co-founder Dick Ebersol, has been mum about the relationship, though he is following the singer on Twitter. (Oh, if those DMs could talk!) 

Besides her busy love life, Spears is continuing her successful residency, which recently added additional dates. 

“I consider [Las Vegas] my second home," Spears told the crowd Wednesday, which had been dubbed "Britney Day" in her honor. For every ticket purchased for her show, one dollar will be donated to the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation. 

As for marriage and more kids? 

"I'd like to have more kids, settle down ... have kids – maybe twins – and get married," Spears said last year. 

"That would be nice."
