The Price For Success (Hard Work)

Britney Spears. For many, this name can conjure up any number of images. Often on the tip of everyone’s tongue (and in front of every paparazzo camera — if she coughs, it’s on the six o’clock news), she’s everywhere, yet nowhere at the same time. Basically, Britney sells without having to sell herself (an impressive feat) — she expertly leaves that to the media. Want proof? Look at her most recent success, which came with few interviews, but plenty of exposure on E!, Access Hollywood and Entertainment Tonight. When Britney walks out of her house and leaves her gated community, she’s followed from point A to point F and all points in between by countless photographers. It's rare that a day will pass where Brit is not featured on X17, TMZ or some other tabloid website. Simply put, Britney is in demand, and she has been (and will be) for many, many years.

Why? It’s thanks to years of hard work and determination. She's busted that famous derriere pretty much non-stop for over a decade. Before touring the globe during The Circus Starring Britney Spears Tour, Britney took what some call "a break," yet during that "break," she released successful albums like Blackout and Greatest Hits: My Prerogative, not to mention the countless perfumes that sold out all over the world.

Britney has never rested on her laurels. She's conducted interviews with everyone from Leno to Letterman to Lauer, and of course, she's dominated radio and music television with her multitude of hits from “...Baby One More Time” to "Toxic" and beyond. Her hard work has certainly paid off, as everything she touches turns to gold. Her latest single, "3," went straight to #1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. The video was a huge hit on iTunes and even hit #1 on VH1’s Top 20 Video Countdown. Most artists never reach that level of success, yet Britney has done it time and time again throughout her 10-year career.

Hard work does pay off and Britney Spears is proof of that. She started as a small-town girl from Louisiana, but has since used her guile, will and heart to capture the world’s attention. In all honesty, she’s on OUR radar — not the other way around. And like the Queen says, “Whether you like it or not, it ain’t gonna stop.”
